Gas Gauge C-3

Joe I can't remember, but I will check when I get home and let you know. I have a 1976.

On my 74 the gauge hangs about where it was prior to turning off the key. Does not go to E on key off. With my big block the gauge move to E at an alarming rate with the key on.

;LOL :) I can imagine!

Gas Gauge

On My 76 the gauge doesnt go to E when I turn the car off. It stays just about where it was when the car is running, sometimes drops a little but not to E.

I did check today and I agree on my 1976 the gauge does not go to "E" when you kill it, stays where it was.

Uh, Ok, I feel stupid now.
When I checked the gauge yesterday, it was on E. Well, thats becuase I was almost out of gas. (duh).

I filled up today, and now, with the key off, it is still hanging out around Full.

I just filled up my 75 today. When I turned her off, the needle dropped to between 3/4 and full.
