Hey everyone...

Anyone have any thoughts as to why this would be? Could it be the cluster? Anyone ever run into this problem? It doesn't bother me that I have to do some simple math to figure out how much gas I have but I would like to get all the functionality out of teh car.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

If the cluster (display) is bright and clear, I doubt if the fuel level problem is due to that. More likely it's in the tank, or a broken wire between the sensor and the gauge.

It is bright, clear and reads with no "problems" (knock on wood), so I guess it has to be the sending unit or wiring, I will check.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :)

I had the same problem in my '90. It turned out ot be the float arm hung up on one of the hose clamps on the fuel pump / gauge assembly. fixed it by realigning the clamp. Btw there is a good test procedure in the shop manual.

Seems to be time for me to invest in one of those tomes you call a service manual. There goes $100.......................................

Ah, hell. That's only two fill-ups! Plus. the book will pay for itself quickly.
:w

Hey, always having a full gas tank is a problem for you folks??? Price of gas in Turkey is like 2 to 3 times more expensive than USA... I wish we had a problem like that.

Just kidding folks, juuuuuuust kiddin'
