Getting info ?

I recently bought an 88 conv. with 11 k miles on it. I would like to get as much info on this car as possible. I would like to know the total built with certain option's and how many were built with the same color combination that I have.How do I go about getting the info I want? Where do I go to get it? Does G.M. have record's that they will share? Any and all help will be appreciated. TLS630

You may want to purchase the "Build Sheet" and repo Window sticker from the National Corvette Museum. It will give you all the info on your car. As for the other info Corvette Black Book or Mike Antonick's book "Vette Specs 1984-1996" is a great source and interesting reading as well.

I don't believe that there are specific records about "how many of such and such color combination were built". You would have to do some extrapolation on those things based on how many cars built/how many had that option/etc. I am no math wiz so I can't help with that but somebody out here might be able to do it for you.

Thanks to all, I have the black book and it does give the total with red paint, interior and so on. It does not give any combinations of colors. I know that in the older vettes that red on red was considered fairly rare. I would like the figures on this one to see how rare it might be.I plan on having it flight judged and would like any info I can get. I also have the original window sticker, warranty book and build sheet. TLS630
