Today was inspection day for the SuperNatural so with that in mind, I decided to drive her to work – As early as I head in, it was fairly quiet, with only a few cars riding “too close for (AeroBody) Comfort – Anyone else get nervous w/ their AeroBody cars??

After work, it was off to the inspection station – Sun bright, foot to the floor, I was off…

At a light, one of the new VW coupes, it is whatever the “hot GTI” would be today, some alphanumeric code?? Anyways, he had his hat on a bit crooked and his foot in it – Right on my tail, I dropped the hammer, shifted gears and squirted forth in between traffic :eek

As traffic cleared again, he tried to get by, no dice – I guess he liked the tail end of the SNAT, as next he pulled beside me and gave a “thumbs-up” and a peace sign, turning at the next intersection :upthumbs

Not long after, another car came out of nowhere – the lady passenger just smiled while the fella driving whipped his neck around so fast to see WTF, he may have gotten whiplash :D

Getting the car inspected was straight forward enough – a few guys at the dealership said how they liked the car and I overheard two others say how much better looking it (Aero) was than the new C6 ;)
Lighting up the cars ignition, the 425 hp came to life - Pointing the car south, I headed home through the bumper to bumper rush-hour traffic.
Rowing the gears and listening to the mellow exhaust note burble, more heads turned as I thundered past :eek
A few more thumbs up along the way home, drove home the point that these cars are well respected & admired – I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone else have days like these recently??? :v :m

:upthumbs Started to get the itch today, weather was in the mid 50's and sunny.
W/E forecast calls for the same. Will certainly have the SNAT out at least one of the days. Need a Megaphone fix!!

I am going out tomorrow morning for some "hot laps" inthe SNAT :upthumbs warming up for some go-kart racing later :D
I put the hardtop back on the car the other day - I love the look of it w/ the top on :cool
Enjoy your drive Mark :m :v

BTW - I forgot I had the ASR on at first - still pulled BADLY on the GTI V-dub ;LOL

Had the CR1 out today to clear out some carbon buildup and it just loves this cool temp.It just sings all the way up to it's 7 grand red line.Thank you Callaway & Lotus! :eek

What is this inspection stuff? ;)
Was this at a car show? :eyerole
Did you win a prize? :D

Good to hear that story.... I was out on my B2K today enjoying the mild 67 degree weather this afternoon at the local car hangout.

Seasons Greetings!

In my area, we not only have a yearly safety inspection but also, we have an every other year emissions test - no pass, no tags :eek
I went to a place this morning at the crack of dawn for the emissions test - ...another Vette owner was there w/ a 2001 :upthumbs he went NUTS :_rock over the SNAT, saying he has always read about the "legendary Callaways and finally get to see one" - he said he was going to another place and saw the car in line, had to stop :cool

The only prize I got Luigi, was a piece of paper to take to the DMV to get new decals for the tags ;LOL

So how was your B2K blast??? Details man, details :m :v

Chris, you have the emissions inspection and safety inspection done at different places? Is the "dealer" a Chevy dealer? That's one thing I wondered about with getting a car like that is where to take it?

I hate the VA safety inspection, and hate that the emissions inspection only applies to Northern VA residents. I am only going to take the Aurora in for the two-year emissions inspection I think. I don't keep the sticker in the window anyway and have never been bothered about it. Every time someone else has my car, it's a chance for cosmetic interior or exterior damage to occur. :(

Edit: oh, the car was probably an R32? It's a 3.2L V6. Hardly competition for your 425hp V8... :beer

the driver thought it would be :D :D then again, I forgot I had the ASR still on and when I first floored it, the pedal "kicked back" at me :eek

Chris, nice "flexing of the SNAT muscle" on them boys!! If they want some give them some! LOL

Here in Holland we had a safety and emissions inspection test every year, also no pass, no driving.

Peter, wow - I thought only the United States was that backwards :eek

The new thing they are trying in my state is, roadside vehicle sampling - they use a camera and laser to detect your cars pollutants and if over, the idea is to send you a notice (read:Force) to get re-tested/inspected - If you go through and are clean, then the count that as pass for the test and give you the decals...

That is how they are trying to "sell it" to the public... But what if I just started my car 2 minutes prior and it is still in its cold cycle?? I fail by design, right :confused

I guess they don't target transients from other states? I don't see how they could enforce that on vehicles registered in other states.

:ugh

In Pa, they have yearly safety inspections and in the county I live in, yearly emission testing for vehicles with the year '96 and up. The one caveat, however, if you have documeted proof of 5,000 miles or less of use, you are exempt from the emissions test. I have EXEMPT sticker on my car.

Wonder if I can find a copy of that law and see if I could get something like that introduced in my state :upthumbs

We have it all.Sniff,Roller & Visual Cat. :( I take all of our Callaways to my local Chevy dealer all on the same day. They are nice enough to block out the entire day so I can go back and forth to get them all there. It is something to see when the cars are on the rollers & they almost jump off due to all that Callaway power.BTW,they all pass easily. :D
