I got a brief look at some ghost flames on the "Overhaulin" show. Chip Foose designs are unbeatable. I am intrigued by this concept and want to know more about them. Can you help me?

Not sure I understand just what you want to know....but pretty much any custom paint shop does 'em...some great other's poorly. It all depends on the artist.
Its not much different than painting any other color flames...its just a flame design in varying hues/shades of the base color so its more subtle.
Thanks, I thought it was something like that. I heard that if they are done right, they change hues when viewed at different angles and also vary with the light so it looks like they are moving as you walk by.
If you want to see some cool flames, there was a "Rides" show (On Discovery HD, I believe), and the guy painted realistic fire. It was photo like. Really incredible.
