GM's Bowling Green Assembly Plant Ships the First 6th Generation Corvette

BOWLING GREEN, KY--- Today General Motor's Bowling Green Assembly shipped the first 6th Generation Corvette coupes to dealerships throughout the United States.

"This is an exciting day for the Corvette community and for the Bowling Green Assembly Plant," said Wil Cooksey, plant manager. "Our plant is committed to building the highest quality, most precise and powerful sports cars for our customers."

Bowling Green Assembly will continue its tradition of building high quality products. The plant will continue to accelerate to its production build schedule this fall.

"This is a memorable day in Corvette history. It marks the start of the sixth generation of a great legacy," said Dave Hill, chief engineer of the Corvette and vehicle line executive for GM Performance Cars. "The 2005 Chevrolet Corvette delivers more power, passion and precision to reach a new standard of performance car excellence."

GM's Bowling Green Plant produces two of General Motor's flagship vehicles, the Chevrolet Corvette and the Cadillac XLR.

I am interested in that schedule, too! This will be my first Corvette since I sold my '64 in 70....

I chose Red/Red/ I want a saddle top, but Chevrolet insists I will have a black one....
When writing a check for that much I thin I ought to get what I want not what they want to give me....
BUT I am sooooo excited about the C6 !!!!!!!!!!!!
What color are you going to get?

prodution numbers on the 04's

Any idea when they will be released?
