I'll be there

This will be the fifth year we've driven up in this car. Every year's an adventure.

This year, I plan to keep the water pump and fan attached to the block during the parade!

Yes I am going but am usure of How I am going. As of now I have not replaced the 411's with the 336's So I will not be driving the 66 out there(Yes this is a project I have been planning since last year ) I may trailer it out (only because I dont want to drive that far with the 411's) Not because my car is a trailer queen. I had always felt that the fun of carlilse was for the exsperiance of the long drive with a 35 year old car.So at this point we may not trailer it.I actually just retired my f150 and replaced it with a new chevy 2500hd pick up so I could relaibly tow the vette out.At this point I am still undecided how I getting there

I would love to go, but it is a 26 hour drive from where I live. I went to Hershey last month but I don't have another long drive in me.
It just aint fair that you guys get all the good corvette events, but I guess it is a fair trade not to have Ice and snow in the winter! LOL

IH2LOSE,

Take your C5 - the ride will be very comfortable and you'll have a blast. The CAC gang will be meeting each evening at the Holiday Inn (Legends Pub) in Mechanicsburg from 6:30 on. Hope to see you there.

Is anyone going to be at the show Sunday? I'll be out of town until Saturday, but need to go up Sunday and get some stuff.

Carlisle Show

Does anyone familiar with the Corvette Carlisle know if they have an auction any day for cars? Was told Sunday they auction some cars.Looking for something better than my ragged out 81 for about $6000.00 Thanks for any help.Mark jms12557@mountain.net We are going but don't know the best day.Any cars usually still there for sale on Sundays?

if i go this year it would be the first time that i went so i have a question, how many people drive their vettes up there but arent actually in the show? how hard is parking, and is it basically just a HUGE corvette show or is their something im missing? i think i plan on just going for the day since i am only a 2 and a half hour drive

Vette Carlisle

First time for us too but we are taking some cash to look for a vette for around $6000.00 Fine if we find something or not

First of all, Corvettes at Carlisle isn't really a "show". However, it is a huge gathering of Corvettes...the largest in the world! I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't drive their Corvette to Carlisle...but they're missing out on part of the fun by not doing so!! We wouldn't think of going to Carlisle without ours. Parking on the field is difficult to find, especially later each day. Going early in the morning is the best bet. By all means, go!!!

Fourandahalf - I arrive early(especially saturday)and pay the regular admission ($10) + $5 to park in the general corvette parking area...no problem. I also pack a cooler with drinks and a snack and wander back to the car every once in a while for a refreshment. I also drop off any purchases I have made at this time. If you are going saturday try to be there before 10 am if possible. By all means go,the whole thing will boggle your mind!!
Go meet the CAC members who will be there also, they are a very nice bunch.

I'm driving up the "old" 02... not to show but just to hang out and have fun.
Is there going to be a CAC tent there at the event? (sorry if I missed this in any other threads)
