Im going to sell my 1985 L98 Corvette with all the below mentioned mods. Im going to get the car dyno tested before I sell it.

New paint, wheels and tires. The a/c does not work. I will take some fresh pictures of the car and post them.

Hopefully i'll get 11K for the car. Anyone think I can get that much? Car has about 75K miles. New bearing all around and soon a new master cylinder.

Bloomington is the place to sell it. I'd have her ready to part with at the show.... it's the best marketing you can do for your ride. 11K might be a little high... but I'm sure you are hoping to get some of the $ you dropped on your mods back.

May I ask, why are you parting with her?

Im getting another Corvette....a ZR1

Bloomingto Gold is the place to sell it. I'll drive her there with a for sale sign and see what happens.

OHH Sweet!!!! I'd trade up too if I had the option! Where are you getting the ZR from?

Dave

Sounds like a strong runner. I'll bet those 190 heads add a lot of grunt to an already torquey engine. How did you get 357 cubes? Are you .040 over?
Is Bloomington Gold at St. Charles this year? I don't think it has moved back to Bloomington.

Good luck with the sale. If for some reason it does not sell ay Bloomington try selling it at Funfest. My buddy sold his Ruby there last year.

With those mods and only 75K on the car, I think you can get $11K for it. If not $11K, I think you'd get something very close.

I have the same plan as you: sell the current and get something newer. I'm not going ZR-1 like you, I'm going LT4.

Believe it or not some of my friends have been pushing me away from a ZR1...all about $$$ for repairs and to increase h/p vs stock.

The ZR1 and a ZO6 are definetly in the running. I have always liked the LT4. The last hoo rah for the conventional 23* sbc.

tnovet yes, the motor is .040 and the AFR 190 heads are ported. I do not have flow numbers on them but one of the best, if not the best race shops in the midwest http://www.fasttimesmotorworks.com did the engine. It is definetly very strong with plenty of low end torque.

i'll try funfest too if b/g does not produce a buyer.

Yes it is in St. Charles this year.

Where is St. Charles in relation to the city?

St. Charles is a far west suburb of Chicago....off 290/I88 or I90.

Wow, that's way out there (for me).

Edmond,

It's out on RT 64 (North Ave). You'd take 294 to 355 South Or 88 to 355 North, and go West on Rt 64 about 8 miles. It's a little past DuPage Co. Airport (Or "Diamonds" Gentleman's Club. It's held at Pheasant Run Golf Club.

tnt... B/G has an auction. You may want to consider entering with a reserve.

I do not plan on entering the car into a auction. I'll just throw a for sale sign on it and see what happens.

I really want a newer Corvette for the following reasons:

1. My a/c does not work and I need a new compressor, condensor, and some piping.
2. I want better seats and the stock '85 seats suck.
3. I'de like some more leg room and the way the 90 and later interior is designed along with the newer style seats i'll get some more leg room.
4. A ZO6 would be really nice.
5. A ZR1 would be nicer.

If somebody offers me $11K for the car, maybe 10K i'll sell it. Anything under that and no deal.

Yep! I don't think I'll be showing, but I will be there on Saturday with the '74.

You headed up?

Well... you have your priorities straight! The easy part is selling her... the hard part is finding the replacement.
