Good news/Bad news

Had my car on a friends lift today - he's also a mechanic -just for a little looking around. Well we looked and he found. I've got a bent right rear wheel, two bad rear wheel bearing, and a busted right rear parking brake cable. So its time to spend some more money-the wife is so happy!!ad

So I'm wondering, does anyone know a good place to buy new rear wheel bearing assemblies for a fair price? And would anyone happen to have a 17" x 9.5" wheel to fit my 94 convertible (right rear) that they would want to sell at a fair price

Looks like I'll be busy for a few weekends once I get all my parts together. Buts theres nothing like doing it yourself Zane

For the wheel... I would suggest searching ebay, and also around the internet for corvette salvage yards... I know of a good one, which advertises in the back of the Corvette Trader, called Coastal Corvettes... they are in Florida though, so shipping may be an issue because wheels aren't light

Mid America has good prices!

I think the replacement wheel bearings are 150 a side for NEW not used! and the factory Delco's are a bit more 230 ish.

NEVER PUT A USED BEARING IN UNLESS YOUR STRANDED!

In 20K or less you will have to redo the job!

Wheel Bearings

Be careful when taking off the rear knuckles... That fiberglass monospring is very expensive!

I put a block of wood under mine when I took it loose. Not the best thing to do... But it has worked many times over...
