hey fellas,
i just insalled my new Yank converter today and am very impressed! i got the Eliminator 10 with 3800 stall. the guys at Yank got all my info correct and the converter was perfect. the only problem is traction has gone the way of the Dodo bird. with the 3.70 rear gear and my old converter, at 55mph, i was turning 2800rpm, now it's 2600rpm. no extra heat was noticed on a four hour cruise. street manners were kind and gentle until you mashed the throttle. it would flash to 35-3600 and start the tires on fire. when cruising and hitting it, the rpm would go right to 3800 and hold until the speed caught up with the rpm. after reaching stall speed, the converter was rock solid. loosing 18 pounds off the flexplate really helps throttle responce as well. just thought i would post my results ans opinions incase somebody else was interested in trying one their converters. i'm sold so far, couldn't be happier. Brian
