I just purchase a new set of GS Goodyear tires for my 1996 CE Lt4. I took a trip to Seattle, from northern Idaho, and it was as smooth ride. When I was ready to come back I picked up to tar or rubber, that stuck to the front tires. It was a 350 mil trip back and the tires was were out of balance, as the tar stuck to the front tires. I could not clean tem off. Any suggestions to how to clean the build up on tires?. I have never had a problem like this before. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Larry

Put em on the rear and spin the heck out of em.:Steer

Drive it off, unless it has unbalanced the wheels.

maybe some WD40 could get it off or tar remover.

I agree, WD-40 and if that fails I try a spray of brake cleaner or acetone, but be careful with the latter two. I'd clean out as much as I could with a screwdrive first and if that doesn't do the job then spray with brake cleaner and go back in there with the screwdriver into the treads. If all four of the tires are coated with tar, I can't help you. I don't know what to do. But if you have any tar on the body panels, don't use anything but WD-40 to clean them. You'll ruin the paint if you use anything stronger. And keep the brake cleaner off the body parts.
