LT4 Got an offer for my LT4

1996 LT4 Topic
I have a very similar LT4 with almost 50k miles in great shape. I'm thinking 17,000 would be good for a private sale. Nice choice on the C5. I will also be looking for your results. I'm sure you'll like it! :cool

The Gentleman I purchased it from is pulling it to Bowling Green for us Friday morning. We are taking the C5 for a 1000 mile or so trip this weekend, so after the trip I should be able to answer your question about how I like the C5 LS1 Z51 6 Speed compares to the C4 LT4 Z51 6 Speed.

Only 16K for an LT-4 with 46K miles on it?:confused :confused I could buy that from you right now.......too bad it is just not the right time for me.

Last I checked (which was last year), nice LT-4's were going in the mid-20's range. What gives?
When I was looking last spring/summer, the highest I saw were CE LT4's for $21-$23k, maybe a few for $27k or so from sellers who must not have been "motivated" yet. Non-CE LT4's seemed to be between $17-20k. The guy I bought from was asking $17k, but the deal was for $16k because the tires were worn down.

If I were selling now, I'd be happy with 16k a year later.

Glad I had the privilege to have owned an LT4/Z51/6-Speed . . .

. . . How do you like it compared to the LT-4? Any pros/cons?
The LS1/Z51/6-Speed/Corsa Touring Exhaust/K&N Dual Cone Air Filters, is 1 Powerful Sweet Ride! :upthumbs

I really can't think of any Cons . . .

A few Pros with our C5 besides the Great Performance . . . all the Creature Features and having a Thermostatic Control System that does what it is suppose to do not what it wants to.

This Girl Runs & Sounds Great !

6 Shooter,

Looks like the car was delivered. I told you that thing pulled hard! :L How does it pull against the LT4?

It is a very nice ride. Only thing I didn't like about it was a personal thing: even sitting in the car made you realize how big the C5's butts are.

I think it out pulls my old LT4. :Steer I did like the few extra hundred RPM's that my LT4 had.

As far as that big butt thing . . . you have to look @ the C5 as a whole unit, not just their Nice Plump Butts. I like to refer to C5 Bodies as Very Voluptuous Girls! :upthumbs

I ask the C5-R boys how they liked the new C6-R when they were @ the Corvette Plant a few weeks ago . . . They said the C6-R lacked a little of the down force the rear of the C5-R provided, but they had addressed that issue. So that's another thing going for that Nice Plump/Voluptuous Butt!

I do want to Thank You once more for taking Your time to test drive the Corvette for us.
