By the way, if any of you were intrested, the pictures were taken yesterday (sunday the 3rd of Nov.) at the world famous, north shore side of oahu, near chinamans hat island!

Your right "Clutch" ! The silver works well with that color . My brother used to live in Kaneohe . I remember China Mans hat well . Cliff

That's to bad that he gave up the bussiness. Does he plan on maybe trying it out again? Was he doing pretty well on the bussiness? or was it slow and thats why he had to shut it down? The tourist are flocking here alot lately, the report on the news said it was up consideribly from recent years, it might be a worth while consideration to think a bout starting it up again! We can always use some good qulity gift stores around, and theres plenty of bussiness to go around!!

I have different angles too!!

Don't mind the mug!!! I had to tie my hair back, I was having a bad hair day, I guess!:) You can't see it in the picture, but it's a little past my shoulders. O.K! The wing was originally an aluminum color at it's natural state. I thought, after a while, it stood out just little more then I'd like it to, so, I painted it a cameleon color with a black under base. At different angles in the sun light, it changes colors from green, to purple, to black, with a touch of silver sparkles in it!! It has an off set design so I'm able to still have access to the gas door and cap.... and beside's that... I thought it looked cool, not like other wings on cars that go straight up not out off the back. It's got steel reinforcements inside the back end for....I don't know..... I guess, piece of mind, that it's gonna stay there if/when I reach higher speeds? Thanks for your intrest. On the other forum, I got my Okole (butt) kicked around from one member to the other, because of that wing!! It started becoming not only very rude attacks towards my wing, but began to be personal attacks towards me!! I love this forum WAY!! better then the other! Much more possitive and freindly members here!!! Heres a cose up that you wanted, the color is the original before I painted it!

Turquoise Metallic from 1990 and 1991 is one of my favorite colors... on top of that, in Hawaii! One word.... Paradise

Hm. While I'm personally not a huge fan of that large rear wing (looks a bit awkward perched that high - IMHO) I certainly respect your right to have it there. Can't see why anyone would give you a hard time about it. And I'm sure it looks different in person than in the pix anyway.

Now the WHEELS, though... sweet...

Dang. Wish I could find a nice background locally to shoot my Vette against. Mad-mic's got the Severn River and the Naval Academy, which is about all that's nice around here. Maybe the Bay Bridge...

Rich,

i also shot some pics at Fort Armstead overlooking the Key bridge! they came out pretty sweet but my scanner sucks when i tried to scan them.

Double,

i like it looks pretty good is it made for the vette? and or where did you get it?

I got it from the local speed shop here on the island, It was not specificly designed for the Vette..... I dont think it was anyway, it just ended up being designed just perfectly for it work on a Vette. If you dont mind me replying to another comment on you space here. I'd like to say that in person, it does'nt set up high at all, total height of the wing is about 6 inches at the most, but it's hard to tell from the pictures though. The majority of people here, freinds or not tend to like the wing, they say it goes with the flow of the car, it does'nt disturb the contour of the body, Some say it gives the car a sort of lamberghni look to it. Of course there are probebly those who like the undesturbed look of the Vette, heck, I do to, but, I more like to stray of the trail a little and be different, the looks though that I get, some have the "Broke neck" look! Some creep up behind me to where they think that I can't see them or wont notice them and they'll stare at the car, sometimes I'd play with them a little by slightly speeding up, then slowing down, acting like I dont notice them, some say out to me, "Very nice car"! I think, the rims completed the look of the car. The day that we took these pictures, My buddy who has a black '99 C-5, whom I got these rims from..... for free! believe it or not, was saying to me that He hated wings on Vette's... heck any car for that matter, so when I told him about my plans to put one on mine, he replied, "Oh noooo, here we go with the wing thing now"! but when I installed it, he had suddenly changed he's mind about wings on the Corvette, especially after I had painted it to make it more suddle looking, in fact, he's going as far as looking for a wing for his C-5, a more suddle one of course. He also commented that he needed to do something to his car so it to can also stand out, and apart from the average looking Vette. He thinks that not very many people pay attention to his car when I'm cruising around with him in mine, and that it had a very intimidating look to it, kind of reminds him of a bull dog or pitbull, a low, stocky, beefy look to it.

6" doesn't sound bad; it looks much higher in the pictures. About the only wing that I actually like in person (so far) is the Greenwood one that's part of their aero kit. It's like 2-3 inches up.

Mad-mic - I've got a decent digital camera; since we keep meaning to get together we should find some good places to shoot the cars.
