Great day for a cruise.

Me and 2 buddies took advantage of the 60 degree day and went road trippin. Put a couple hundred miles on the car and stretched their legs a bit. I stretched a tad too far and almost put the Vette in woods trying to be cool for my sis and neice and nephews. It's not good when your doing a smokey, rolling burnout and the road is east-west and you're facing north-south. :eek :duh I learned these cars recover great if you don't fight them. :naughty: My buddies have a 2000 Z28 and a 91 Mustang. The Z is pretty much stock except exhaust and a computer programmer. The Mustang is supercharged, headers with flowmaster exhaust, pulleys and gears and an early form of computer programmer. All in all a great day! Here's a couple pics. Please don't bash the Mustang or Z. :nono

I checked out the fotos, You can tell sis its time to take down the Kerry/Edwards sign. That party is over. LOL

Last weekend was what I figured was the last sunny weekend for awhile here in NorCal ... made the jaunt over to the coast at Santa Cruz and up to coast ... 500 mile, 2-day loop with the top down the whole time.

And this morning I took Ruby to Napa Auto Parts to check the price of a light-weight floor jack .... the sun was shining, it was warm so I dropped the top and kept on going .... around the largest lake in California and on over to Napa county wine country and then home ... a eight hour trip.

When I got home the wife said "I wish you would have told me where you were going" ... I reminded her that I did ... I told her I was going to NAPA .... I really gotta quit doing that!

I should have taken a picture of us this morning, standing around in the rain as though nothing was unusual in taking the Vette out to the local Saturday morning cruise in such weather. :L

Small town called Centuria WI. Actually a pretty nice little place. The house for sale is my sisters neighbor. I'm pretty sure she had something to do with them moving. :L

Ah, to cruise the back roads and small towns, away from the loonies on the nearly-always-congested, if sunny, CA roads. Alaska is like that, too, even if there are only three LONG, paved roads!
