I just noticed today I am getting some bluish green fluid seeping out of the right front hub, where the I think the cap for the bearings is, its not brake fluid, and if its bearing grease its really thin.

The car has been up on stands since Oct and I just saw the drips today, anyone know what it might be?

On a second note I just got the the rear end from the doors back tapped up and sprayed with the first coat of rust encap.

Thanks

Wow - and I thought *I* was worried about bearings...

Well I wouldn't drive it more than around the block to do any repositioning until I plucked open the hubs and regreased the bearings (and, while you're at it, just replace them...) At least the fronts are as accessible as any others - unlike the rear.

You might inspect all of them though, in case it wasn't just one going bad but some rot going through more similar parts.

I will always be terrified of another rear bearing seizing, having had one seize in "stealth mode" and cutting my left rear spindle off like it was butter - losing a wheel at 80 a foot off a magnet wall. I got lucky that time....

I havent looked at the front bearings in the repair manual yet but I assume their like other chevys though. I can't figure how the greese got that thin, if thats what it is. I don't see how it could be any thing else though.
