Welcome to the CAC. Mean looking Shark you got yourself there. Please do show more pictures. What history do you have on that Vette? If you want more specific details from people the questions tend to need and be more direct. Asking for general informtion you can find on the web like greenwoodcorvettes.com

greenwood corvettes

Thanks for the replies.....I became enamored by GREENWOOD corvettes years ago...I checkout the greenwoodcorvettes site daily...Yup, greenwood Daytona's only 4 were ever built!! Mine is not one of the 4 built but was an Ecklers FULL BODY mold back in the ealy 80's....If I can find a way to upload pics to this site, I will load a bunch. Any ideas how to do??

Greenwood Daytona

The car came from south Bend Indiana....Has a Modified small block..Would love to get it on a dyno..She flies..previous owner had twin turbos on the car..took them off, but I got the heads in the puchase of the car...Glove box was signed by a woman race car driver from the 80's and 90's...her name is Lyn St. James.....Looks like velocity stacks on the car, but it really is an air induction unit. car is as clean as a whistle when u have it on a lift...stainless steel brake sleeves..adjustible cambers..etc.....

Have a great day guys..

if you have the images on another server already, you can post them in your messages by this code:
where abc.com=the address where the photo is.

if they aren't on another server already, you can still post them here as attachments. they have to be 82k or smaller in size (each). When posting, just hit MANAGE ATTACHMENTS which is at the bottom of the page and it will walk you thru it - first you upload the photos than you can attach them to your message.

hope this helps
if you run into problems call me at home.

Barry

PS, as an example, here is one of your pics using the first method since the pic is already on the clubs server

No...she was a race car driver.Married another driver back in the 70's named John Carusso. St. James was sponsored by Ford in 1980 or 1981. Her husband did drive a Corvette in the 70's.

Lots on her. Not much on him. Go to google and do a search by name under advanced.

Lynne st james drove indy cars too and tried nascar but didnt get anywhere. She now runs a school and foundation for driving an getting more women into motorsports.I love that wide body ,nice colors too.

I think she was the first Women to make the field at Indy, quite an accomplishment for the times.

Yes, From all i have read, Lyn St. James holds the most records for any woman race car driver in the history of the sport.....

[font=&quot]To post pictures so they show up in your post first you need to have the pictures on the web I use a photo hosting service:
http://www.villagephotos.com/index.asp
is one of many. Click on the IMG button in the area above where you type your posting the one that looks like mountains Then you copy the URL of the photo to the Dialog box (be sure there is only one http) by using the links under the photos in blue, just click where it says "copy URL to clipboard" in blue. [/font]

[font=&quot]Your picture should show up in your post[/font]

[font=&quot]you can also use the "manage attachments" box below the text entering area to upload from your computer[/font]

[font=&quot]Good luck[/font]

Didn't Janet Gutherie in the Texaco car owned by Roland Volstadt pre-date Lyn St. James at the Indianapolis 500 ? I think Lyn also had some success on the road courses. Both did a great deal for women in racing including Team Rahal's young protege Danica Patrick.

Regards-

I believe your correct. Janet Guthrie was the first woman to qualify for the indy 500 field, but Lyn St. James is the one who holds the most records.......
