Just got a very nice tranny cooler, and PS cooler from Evan! This is quality stuff, set up with nice brackets all powdercoated, all connections and hardware, great instructions as well. I will be finishing the installation of these when I put the new Dewitt's radiator that should be here tommorow :cool

I have no affiliation with this company, but ran accross Evan at just the right time on the other forum. These things, are being mass produced and will be showing up soon in all your favorite speed parts company magazines. Anyone that might be interested before they are ready to do the whole roll out, I'll try to get him over here for ya. He has generously sponsored part of the product (early) for me to run thr PonyExpress :beer

Interesting mounting location, Colin. I've got mine right out in front of everything, but of course, I had to cut a couple of holes for the hoses. ;)

Something you may want to keep in mind though, especially if you think you might have an impatient, heavy right foot, is to use a thermostatically controlled adapter and install a check valve in the oil cooler return line to prevent bursting the cooler when the oil's cold. ;)

That looks nice too Ken. Unfortunately, I'm not much for the creative part of this operation, but give me a bolt on ;) and I'm in heavan ;LOL I'll have to ask about the thermo adapter :confused Like I said, bolt on baby :w

So if you don't mind telling, how much did this set you back, and how easy was the install?

No Rich, I don't mind at all. The cost, I don't know, the parts arrived, and, well I just don't know, I've asked Evan for an invoice several times, and haven't seen one yet. I sent him a link to this thread, so I hope he'll join and comment if he's ready. I know he has had A LOT of interest and e-mails piling up. So, I'm sure he'll get an invoice out to me shortly. However, even when that happens, I would prefer that he answered that question, because as I stated, he has generously offered partial sponsorship to me.

What I can say, is that he has participated in several of these open road races, going back about 10 years or so if memory serves, and is apparently in automotive parts and manufacturing with 20 years experience in the field. This stuff is very well thought out, and some parts are still under development, for the puposes of perfection. He wouldn't even send me a third or fourth generation prototype bracket for the PS cooler cause one of the angles on it was still a degree or two off, thusly, not perfect. When it's right, and powdercoated, it'll be coming my way.

EASY? YES! The parts in the first pic go together in about 20 min. working leisurely. Then drill four holes in the main crossbrace, and bolt it on. All that could be done in an hour or so without breaking a sweat on the garage floor as I did. That's as far as I've gone, but the directions are VERY thorough. Even an idiot like me can almost do it in my sleep. And as the guy who has to do EVERYTHING twice :eyerole So far, it looks like once is gonna do it here :D

I'm going to follow this one, definitely... want a better oil cooler than factory, and I think cooling the overdrive more might help it live longer.

Hey - quick off-topic question. How close is your SR plenum to the wiper motor wire connection? The shop is almost done putting the engine in, and they called today and among other things mentioned there's only about 1/2 an inch between the two - which is too close for their peace of mind.

Sounds about right, I'll have to take a pic and post it up for ya, after it cools down 10 - 15 degrees. It's well over 90 out there right now, and I'm at work, so my car's outside.

It's around that distance Rich. I did get a pic but I won't have time to post it until at least tonight sometime.
