Hail and Corvettes?

I've been living in the Dallas area for the last five years now and recently we experienced some rather large hail.

Fortunately, the Vette was garaged during the storm but my son's "metal" car wasn't so lucky. Looks like someone took a hammer to it but no broken glass.

I'd like to hear from any folks out there who have encountered large-sized hail and what kind of damage occured.

I'm assuming small hail would probably just bounce off but the large stuff might go through like rock through paper

Perhaps I should carry my cover around with me just in case I get caught.

If it's large enough to break glass on another automobile, I would imagine a corvette would be no different. My car has been in two hail storms that caused significant damage to other cars and structures. Both times, my car was undamaged.
