Hard Shifting

Howdy fellow Vette Freaks! I am a new owner of a '92 coupe and have a question I hope someone might address. Is it normal for the LT1 four speed automatic to have a hard shift transition from first to second gear? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing more exciting than getting your head about ripped off from from this experience when you get on it a little . . . . I just want to know if it is normal.

Bob, someone may have installed a "shift kit" which provides for much firmer shifts between gears. However, the LT-1 owners will be seeing this before long, they'll have something for you.
