Hard start when warm

I did try the key thingy...it didn't make a difference. I do have to check the fuel pressure....It should tell me if an injector is leaking slightly causing a flooding condition. This would explain after the car sits for a week or two, it starts right up. I guess the excess fuel would evaporate in this much time. Why do ya think?

have you cleaned the injectors recently (or ever?) two bottles of techron (you can buy it from wal mart) with a full tank of gas may take care of the problem

well thats what i just put in with $20 bucks of gas, which was only 6 gallions of gas!!! and only 87 octane. so i'll see how it goes, i don't think the problem if there is one is that bad, some times it may take what 5 or 6 seconds to turn over, not bad for a 20 year old!!

Techron huh? I was always a little reluctant to put anything in the gas tank. I thought I read somewhere....no fuel additives.
I would be willing to do this if it won't hurt anything.

I'm fond of BG 44K for a fuel system cleaner. I find it at the upper end auto parts stores and a few auto service centers. It does work.

Most of the 'junk' you see on the autozone, etc., shelves is just that, junk. However, BG 44K and Techron have proved their worth in cleaning fuel systems (injectors, etc.), improving idle and part throttle response. You may still need to clean the throttle separately, especially the idle air curcuit (IAC) if there is a soot build up on the TB.

Tuna is also correct:)

I like the availability of techron, and down here in FL during hurricane season we tend to get bad gas sometimes when people panic and buy gas like crazy, so I keep a bottle in every car.

With techron, if the fuel system is dirty, you will notice the oil get darker after you use it (so you will probably want to change it if that happens) Also, don't be afraid to run the car pretty hard while it is in the tank, and run the tank down to a 1/4 before refilling. Make sure you use 2 bottles (because the tank is so big on our cars).

I have used it on every C4 I have owned... L98, LT1, and LT4 with only positive results.

i have used BG44 before but it works better with the adapter to the bottom of the can that let you hook it right up to the fuel value on the fuel rail. i just put it in the tank like other fuel cleaners. not sure were you get the can adapter??

Okay....got them down. So everyone says it's safe to use on the LT1 and shouldn't harm the O2's at all? I do like the idea of hooking up to the fuel rail...guess I should shut down the fuel pump when doing tis right? I think NAPA has the juice and the adapter.
