Hardtop for the Soft Top

While reading the January issue of Vette, I ran across an add for a removable hardtop for the C-5 rag top. Has anyone purchased one of these or know anything about them? I'm interested but would really like to know the "REAL" scoop on the top. Here's their web address. www.smoothline.com

Called Smooth Line, they said they have been making this top for several years and it's their best seller. Cost $2999.00, on special till EOM for $2599.00. They have upgrades for interior trim and rear window from $50 to $250. 8 week wait. Sounds interesting but sure would like to hear from someone that has seen one or has one.

Very nice looking top. My Mom in law put one on her '87 convert in the early 90s after the soft top sun rotted (Arizona) and ran it for several years til she traded the car off. I'm not sure if that is the company she delt with but $2500 is about what she paid. She loved it.

I looks like the first top uses a convertible rear window and the second uses a fixed roof coupe window. I would like the big window with the roof on the first top.
