Harmonic Balancer

Well, I did it again!

The last time was about 20 years ago, but I should have learned then!

I tried to pull the balancer off my 454 with a wheel puller that grabs the outside of the balancer instead of using the 3 bolt puller that pulls from the center. I caught my mistake just as it started to separate. Can this balancer be saved? If not, what is a good replacement? Should I just get a stock replacement, or is there an aftermarket balancer that is better?

if the elastomer ring started to seperate enought that you noticed its permanently damaged.

That is about what I thought.

That tool is really cool.

I usually use the four pronged puller that has the threads down the middle, and you use three bolts to grab the balancer, but you can't reinstall with this one.
