Hatch ajar draining battery?

Battery was dead this weekend. Jumped it and seemed to charge up fine. Only issue I could think of was that the hatch was ajar. Could that have drained the battery over a week's time?

It certainly did.

Had a glove box door that didn't shut all the way a while back. In daylight you couldn't see that the light was on in there. Drained it in 24 hrs. ...

Same thing happened in my 300M. Damn annoying until I found the problem.
