Head bolt torque specs

What are the specs for head bolts on aluminum heads? Are they the same as iron heads?

Shop manual sez 65 for SB iron heads and 80 for BB iron heads, and calls out short bolts on BB aluminum heads at 65 and long bolts at 75. If you don't have factory heads, I'd check with the manufacturer. Aluminum heads require hardened washers under the bolt heads, with oil between the washer and the underside of the bolt head.

Mark, he DID NOT SAY that I couldn't thin 90wt oil with equal parts of a Lemon Drop (Absolute Citron, Triple Sec, Dry Vermouth and a dash of Rose's Lime Juice). Lesse here, one for me, one for the car.
