Thanks!

These Heads Are Off A Zz4 Crate Motor.gm Sells Them Seperate As Part #12556463. They Are Made Using Cast#10088113 Heads, are These The Same As The 88 And Up Heads I Am Looking For?i Am Almost Positive They Are Because Of The 113 At The End Of The Casting # But I Want To Be Sure!

Please,anybody!

Wish I could help you, but I only know the old stuff. :D

I know C4s but don't have the part numbers, or the answers you seek. Sorry. :o

Oops! Yes I do; PN 10088113 was used from 1988 thru 1991 for the 245/250 hp engines. :CAC

You're welcome, but I didn't really answer your question though, about whether they'd be an advantage to you or not. ;shrug

I Thought That The 113 Heads Flow Much Better Than The 128 Heads Used In The 87 Vetts.i Am Going With The Zz9 Cam,miniram Intake, and Was Told That My Stock 128 Heads Would Be Holding Me Back.so I Am Looking For A Pair Of 113 D Port Heads On Ebay That I Can Have Ported And Have Some Bigger Valves Put Into.i Found A Pair On Ebay Last Night That Looked Nice But I Wanted To Find Out If They Were The Right Casting # But I Missed Out,oh Well.there Are A Couple More Pair On There.

Yeah, those stock heads will hold you back. Check out: www.vette2vette.com He's a good guy to deal with; maybe he can help you out.

While you're at it, may as well go with roller everything to gain some that little more power! :D

I saw your post on the Wanted Forum. I saw a set of TPIS coated headers go for $600 a few weeks ago. They looked very clean from the pictures; someone got a pretty good deal.

You're on the right track witht the heads, depending on how much you end up getting into them. Generally, they sell for around $400, then you gotta figure another $400 plus to set them up. You might be better off looking for different heads new or used by the time your done with them.

Let's see if Rich or MadMic chime in here. Good deal on the MR! Are you stroking?

No Not Stroking.

I Just Plan On Doing Cam,heads Intake, exhaust.the Motor Does Have Some Miles On It But Ive Had It For Most Of Its Miles And Know That It Was Well Taking Care Of,doesnt Burn Oil,and Runs Mint!ive Been Thinking Of Doing These Upgrades For A While Now But I Just Developed That Dreaded Oil Leak In The Back Of The Intake So I Am Forced Into Taking This Thing Apart Anyway.so While I Have It Apart, its Now Or Never:d
I Was Suprised To See How Clean This Motor Is On The Inside.no Caked Oil In The Valley Or Puch Rods, just Spotless!
I Guess The Syntheyic Oil Is Worth The Extra Couple Of Bucks After All!

You're gonna love the simplicity of that MR, once you get it installed! :beer Are you open to the idea of other heads, or are you set on the 113's? I didn't see any on ebay today.

The simplicity of design, yes. But by the same token, that simplicity prevents me, the obsessive/compulsive personality, from thoroughly cleaning the manifold. Just too many places for dirt to hide! :L

I Liked The Idea Of The 113's Because Of It Looking Stock But I Am Open To Other Ideas.i Was Looking Into The Edelbrock Performer Heads For The Corvette Today But They Are Only 170 Heads And They Dont Seem To Flow All That Great.a Ported Pair Of 113's Flows Better.

I Was Also Talking To Tpis About A Pair Of There Ported Stock Castings.the Only Problem Is That They Are $1250 On An Exchange Basis And They Only Take The 113's As An Exchange.i Have 128's So I Would Have To Buy A Set Of Used 113's And Then Pay Another $1250 To Trade For Fully Ported Ones.

The Afr Heads Are Nice To But Run $1850.
So My Options Seem To Be:
1)edel=$1300
2)113=around $1650(after Buying Core And Trading)
3)afr=$1850
I Dont Know What To Do!
Does Anybody Know Where I Can Get The Same Work Done To 113 Heads That Tpis Does To Them But Charges Less Than $1250?that Seems Pretty Steep.

Ask some of your local hotrodders what machine shops they use. You also have to factor in shipping those heads; those things are pretty darn heavy.

You'll also have to do some computer programming with those mods.

There are a couple more options out there, ProTopLine I think is one. Rich where are ya? I know he just put on a new set, but I don't recall what he used. Seems to me he spent around $1200 for some 185's or 190's. rrubel -- try a search, hasn't been that long ago.

Ken, you think the MR is hard to clean around? Try a SR :L ;LOL ;LOL :w
You like my new (yet again, stolen) avitar any better? ;)

I'm always reading that even ported stock heads are inadequate. Why is that so? Is that inadequate in terms of extremely high performance or would we be able to tell the difference in a street machine?

I Know They Say The Stock 128 Heads Are Not Good Even Ported.but They Say That The 113's Have Alot More Potential And By Looking At The Flow Numbers Of Some Heads, they Are Right.tpis Has The Flow Numbers For There Ported Stock Casting 113's And They Flow Better Then The Edelbrocks And Really Close To The Afr Heads.they Seem To Be Just As Good And In Some Cases Better Than Any Other Head For A Street Car Out There.
