As we use to say when we we're younger "off like a prom dress''.The car and i talked it over and we're off to Orlando for winter storage Oct 26th . I'll fly back via Southwest $49 and the car will be safe and warm all winter. About twice a month i'll fly down for a long weekend and enjoy top a top down cruise.Look for a little mischief possibly as far south as Key West and do a few shows with friends.Vetts should be enjoyed all twelve months not six. When i comes April my wife and i'll bring the car home.I call only feel for all the cold weather people and the misfortune winter brings.Lets see 1573 miles @163mph thats about a ten hour day.Good luck to all that stay for the blizzards-Steve

What an excellent solution to the whole winter "problem".
I can't believe it is knocking at the door already. My brain is still stuck in "summer" mode.

A better one is to move to Calif where we drive year round........and the Vette is right out in the garage. Sorry, had to say it....... :D :beer :w

Steve,

Now there is a plan that I didn't consider :L I just up and moved to Kentucky! I'm headed home to Maine next weekend, to spend a week with family, then it's back to Kentucky before I get snowed in......;LOL

Well Dale you we're smarter than i. Wished i'd a moved out 30 yr's ago. Just want to warn you that it snows in Kentucky. I've been to the plant in Jan. Do you ever here someone say "my car has never seen snow ,ice or rain" surprise!Good luck in Ky.

Yeah I've seen snow here maybe 4 times in the 3 years I've been here. The good thing is it lasts 2 or 3 days and then it's gone. The funny thing is when it does snow, even an inch, school is out for for whatever time it takes for the snow to melt.;LOL Don't feel bad....it took me 49 years to figure out south of Maine was the place to be.

You live in the south,,Yes I know it gets cold but not as cold as it does above the Mason-Dixon Line. you may get a few ice storms, but it' not like 40 bellow zero. :L

Now Cruzer82 has it right. I’m taking “The King” out today for a run to “DawG’s place in Groveland for lunch. A couple of hours each way on mountain roads. Should be fun. I’ll think about all you guys and gals in snow country

BRUTAL JUST BRUTAL :beer

Patrick,

Yikes - and I thought it was tuff over here in northern Mass. Those kind of conditions don't start untill late November here. But from that point on you know how I get.:crazy I'm counting on you and Tammy to keep me under control.

Remo:cool

Remo,

Make sure you have a supply of "meds" close by in case the snow comes early. I'm making a run to Maine this weekend staying til next weekend, hoping at least it drys out a little before I get there.

Remo,
You're therapy this year is going to include a certain amount of 'tough' love. This means that when Tammy, Guy and I agree that you have gotten too close the edge, Guy will go over and slap some sense into you. It isn't that we don't love you, it's that we need to reach the logic center of your brain, and in the middle of February, when you're suffering from extreme Corvette withdrawal, reaching your logic center requires the right stimulus.

Pain.

Stay well this winter, Remo. For your sake, stay well this winter.
:D

I could help Remo by possibly posting photos of a quicksilver vett this winter.Maybe top down in front of sloppy joe's bar Key West. Top up taking a promo spin at Daytona speedway.I also understand Orlando's getting a Burger Palace where the car hops wear thongs. Nice photo op ,large breasted car hop leaning into a quicksilver vett on a warm eve.would any of that help people like Remo get rid of the winter blues?

Good God! Don't do that!
Science has yet to predict what sort of intense reaction this form of "endless summer" photographic stimuli can induce in New Englanders.

It could be disasterous. "OH THE HUMANITY!" we may all be screaming.

No, I can't recommend you post those pictures of balmy January nights in Florida- there could be riots. There could be civil unrest. There could be girls gone wild in search of a camera. Do you really want that? Could society survive that?

Well, on second thought, the girls gone wild thing... um... okay.

Since Remo stores his car at my house, I'll take pictures of HIS Quick silver vert with the top down and chains on the tires - while it's snowing ;LOL.

Went to Maine yesterday and closed up the cottage for the winter.

Don't forget the NCRS Winter meet in Kissimmee in January if you are down there.
