any helpfull techniques for adjusting stops on headlamp panels?

If you're referring to the screws on the "Y" bracket on the shafts, all I did was use trial and error. You can get them fairly close pretty quickly, and then a few more minor adjustments should do it.

If the motors are not installed, it will be much easier to get the doors adjusted when you can easily rotate them.

If I've misunderstood your question, please ask again.

P.S. The motors are very easy to remove.

67heaven's right on

Pop out your motors, and the adjustments will be a breeze.

One thing you might just want to take a close look at are the small bolts that act as stoppers in the " Y " bracket. Make sure that they have a thin strip of plastic embedded lengthwise in the threads. This serves to lock the bolt in place once you have adjusted them properly. These should be hard to turn ( not finger loose ) in order to stay in place so that your adjustment is not lost.

You might also want to remove the hood, it makes all this so much easier to do.

;)

thanks for the reply; i am referring to the adjusting screws on the y brackets; any easy way to adjust with the hood left on?

Yes. As I described above, the easiest way is to remove the motors first so that you can easily rotate the doors as a quick means of checking your adjustments. The motors simply slide on over the shafts and are held in place by one small bolt between the motor and a bracket (attached to the side of the motor housing. Wiring is a simple unplug. Once the doors are adjusted, reinstall the motors.

I don't remove the hood to accomplish this, but check your clothing for sharp objects before crawling in there.

Make sure you "lock" the hood prop if you're going to leave the hood on. It might save your life.

thanks again for the reply; sounds easy enough
