Headlight change

ive got a 87 vette that hit a deer. ive got a 92 headlight assy for it. the 87 has a 3 wire setup and the 92 has a2 wire setup. the color of the the wires are the same, but the 87 has a white wire in it too.can the white wire be lefted unhooked.

Not for sure but I think some of the Corvette parts retailers sell a pigtail adapter for just this reason.The 88-up headlight motors are supposed to be better designed.
