This was weird. I have a 94 LTI Coupe. First my left headlight door wouldn't close. The next day the right wouldn't open! I've opened them up manually so I can drive at night but what a pain in the ass! Where should I start looking?

This is a common problem, anyone has or will have it. There's 3 small nylon bushings in each headlight mechanism that act as clutches between the motor/gear assembly and the headlamp assembly. They disintegrate over time. The parts are less than $10 for each side, and it's about a two-beer job for each side. The replacement bushings are better materials and should last forever. You can search for "headlamps" and come up with dozens of threads on it. I'm sure that others can describe how to do it. I'm not good at that, but I did mine two years ago and followed directions from here. Biggest PITA was laying on my stomach on the tire stretched out so I could reach the headlamps. I may not have done it the easiest way either. Have fun with it.
