Headlight question

Hi everybody I am a new owner of a 71 convert. and I have a question regarding the operation of the headlight switch. The headlights work when I use the manual vacuum switch but they do not pop up when I pull out the headlight knob, they do light up though. Where would I start looking?

Try reversing the vacuum lines going into the headlight switch.
