Ok, hopefully someone will know the differences in the headlight switches. The catalogs have switches for 78-82 and 68-77. I am putting the drivers side dash pad back together in anticipation of my car coming home. Anyway, I have a headlight switch that I had bought for my 79, it says it is for a 78-82 on the package. The switch I am taking out looks exactly the same as the new one I have. Does any one know what the phsyical differences should be and if there are any electrical differences. I may wind up with no headlights if both are wrong switches. If you remember bubba had wired my headlights to work off of lamp cord and flag terminals so the switch I am taking out could be wrong.

Any ideas? Anyone know?
Thanks for any help you can give.

ED .. On my '71 there was one 3 prong electrical plug and 2 vacuum hoses as I remember. I think the solid black vac hose goes toward the firewall but I'd test them first.

Just put a new switch in my 76. Here is a picture of the back side..... if I can figure out how to send it.well I can't figure out how to shrink it so this site will take it. might have to try to email it to you
