I would like to know if there is a good headlight upgrade for an 02 vette? As I was driving into work tonight in the rain and bring way out in the country where there is not much light. I noticed that the lights on my vette were not bright enought to see the road. As being a winding road as I was this could be very dangerous. I have looked into the HID lights, but the price for the conversion kit is way up there in price. I have also heard that the high wattage lights are not good to use in a vette. With the plastic lens of the vette lights they tend to be to much of a glare for on comming cars. Also they can get too hot for the plastic lens. If any one knows of an upgrade please let me know. Thanks

there are companies that sell kits that allow the low beams to stay on with the high beams. to check out the brightness put yours on high beams and change to low beams BUT hold the lever and do not let it come back. you should then have both high and low beams on at the same time

Thank you Motorman and bluecoupe for the information. If I can't find a system thats just a plug in. Then I will have to go one of those ways. I will have to do it soon, because my wife is about to have a baby and she can't get in and out of the vette to easy. So I have to drive the vette to work, and I would like to have better lights because I work at night. Thanks

You can convert to HID lights:

Some folks have replace the stock fog lights with PIAA lights. This may be another option.
