LT4 Headlights

Okay - so Im out in the garage, doing some maintenance on my vette. I was wondering - is there any way to replace the flip-up headlights on the lt4 with something more modern and less weight restrictive. Something that wont take me 4 hours and $1200 to replace.

Just an idea, probably already been done. Im still new and way inexperienced.

I think the catch is the part about NOT costing around $1200! Everything I've seen for C4 non-popup headlights comes in at about that price.

Found a kit.. dont know if im gonna go with it though. I could put the $1200 into something else. Something else to think about i guess..

I have been thinking the same thing. Especially now that one of my headlights can't flip all the way over. I see no reason why a kit should be $1200 (or more). This seems like a simple case of shaping aluminum and acrylic sheets. Of course pricing material it does seem to be about $400. Interested to know what you decided.
