De headlights goes up but theys wont goes down. Thanx in advance for any advice,:confused

You either have a vacume leak in your vacume hoses, or need a new vacume cannister .. If your smarter than me (most people are) you can test for the leaks ...
This happened on my '81 once & I had to replace some vacume hoses .. good luck ...

:w :beer :)

Probably just need the vacuum seals for the canisters, easy job but a little time consuming. You need 2 inner and 2 outer, can buy them from all the suppliers for about $10 each.

What about the over-ride switch, has it been pulled out?

My 78 has a knob that you pull down (under the steering wheel) and it keeps the headlights in the up position. When the knob is pushed in the headlights work normally with the headlight switch.

Final solution: Killer Lights!!!

-JUST SAY NO TO VACUUM-

Electric is the way to go if you don't mind stockness. But if you want to fix the problem, then you might have a problem with the hl actuators or maybe the relays. The the lines. See if they can hold the vacuum.

I have a complete working set off my 75 for a very reasonable price.........................

Just how tough are the Electric ones to install. The idea sounds pretty cool. Just not sure yet ;shrug

Ask Chris (69MyWay) about it. He did the conversion. I'm sure a lot of other guys did, they'll chime in. :)

I did the installation few months ago, with the manual that came with the kit it was just a walk in a park! And if you find the manual not be enough Chris will always anser all your questions.

Jay,
Thanks for the info. :) I think I'll make it one of my Winter projects. How is the weather in Finland this time of the year? It's hotter than a By George hear in Texas!

Besides the headlights themselves, would you need to mod anything else to get them in there?

Did I hear somebody mention ..... KILLER LIGHTS?????

Stallion, yes... you have to make some cuts to the factory lower assembly. It will not prevent going back to stock if desired.

Today I check with my fab shop to see where I am on the list of production to get the first 50 pair of professionl brackets finished. As far as I know, we are a month and counting and they have not been started yet. There are several jobs in front. When they do start, it will only take a day or two to knock them out. "IF" it looks like I am going to go through the first 50, then he can quickly mint up as many more as I need.

So...stay tuned. I hope to get this up and rolling in a very professional way very soon.
