Just got back from the Heart of America meet put on by the Kansas City and St Louis NCRS chapters. They did a super job! It was a great meet with lots of nice Corvettes. Thanks for the good time.

Good gosh, Bob! I had the silver-green 82 and I don't think we met. I got in at 4pm today and I'm beat.

My hat's off to the two NCRS Chapters for the fun - it was GREAT!.

Guy, I saw your car --she's a beauty, sorry I missed you. I was judging 68-69 and 70-72s. I was one of the chassis guys on the ground. Th weather did not cooperate much. I headed out Sunday morning and made it in late in the afternoon.

Bob,

I didn't envy you chassis guys last weekend or at Stone Mountain where it poured buckets.

Guy, Great pictures. No I did not have my car there this time. I came up just to judge. If you look at the 5th set of pictures you posted there is a green LT 1. If you look way in the back on the far right of the photo I'm the guy way back there with the white ball cap on. Kind of appropriate for a judge--Ha. Congrats on the Top Flight.

Thanks, Bob.

I see ya there. That's Paul Borowski in middle of the picture with that "deer in the headlights" look :D.

I agree with you, a great meet in spite of the rain! I pulled my 60 up there from Texas to get a PV. I sure hated that 15 hour trip each way, but it will get me warmed up for the 26 hour pull to Hershey in July!

Congrats on the PV, John! At least Hershey is only 7 hours from me and I'll have my black 82. I was lucky enough to get it accepted for Bowtie judging.

Thanks Guy,
My car is the last one in your pic's. Almost didn't PV, without the help of several people to affect a fix to the hood release cable, I would have gone home empty-handed! I don't know that I will ever do another PV again. There just too many things that can go wrong, and all it takes is one and you are on the trailer.

I remember your car - what a honey! I know too many others who spent much money to get the PV award after failing the first time and then going to another Regional. I don't think I'll ever go for a PV, but I have to hand it to you folks that do. Out of over 100 items on the list, not one can fail. In Quebec last sumer my black 82 was parked next to a restored 53 owned by John Salvo, NY. He got his PV first time!

Again congrats, John! Love that Roman Red '60!
