Heater-a/c doesnt work.

After spending the better part of today trying to find out why I cant get my blower motor to work,took the blower out of the vette to check it by it self and YES it does work off a battery!!!! So I'm thinking that perhaps the selector/speed controller is shot,I checked the resistor for continuity to make sure it wasn't burnt out.Could not tell about the relay(I do have power going in on the red wire where I'm supposed to but nothing coming out!!!!)
BTW a/c is not charged and it wont hold a vaccuum..checked last nite...

any suggetions???
