Hi I have an 1989 corvette coupe with heater core problems I was told you can get at them from the outside by draining and removing air conditioning coil and box mounted on firewall is that true and if so is it easier

Had an 89 up until last year, replaced the heater core about 8 yrs ago by the book(FSM). Had asked around for an easier way but didn't find anyway around doing it by the book. Still have the FSM(buyer of my 89 didn't need no steenking book..lol), PM me your address if you want it and I'll send it. If you want to pay postage, you can send me the cost AFTER you receive the manual.

If you look closely, the inlet and outlet tubes feed through holes in the firewall,I don't see how you could get it out that way.
