Just bought a 2001 this week but now the turn signals will work only for a few minutes than nothing. I checked the fuse and it is okay so it must be the flasher. How do i access the hazard flasher. Do i have to take the dash apart to get to it. Should i let the dealership do it or is it fairly easy to do myself. Thanks

The turn signal flasher is part of the four-way hazard switch. Yes, the top dash pad must be removed to reach the part (stupid engineering.....).

I have read that cycling the hazard switch on and off several times may correct the problem.

Good luck.

Fasher problem

Thank You! Yesterday the turn signal worked fine but this morning it wouldn't but now its working again. Could there be some other problem? Thanks

I recommend cycling through three, long smokey burnouts. :D

It becomes an intermittent problem when the flasher unit is going bad........Yes, dash needs to come off.............
