Hello All! New Owner of a 57

Hey there fellows, I just got word that a 57 is coming my way, I would like to get this car as close to show quality as possible, but I already know that the numbers will not match, will this affect the car greatly as far as showing, and if so, then should I try making the car a daily driver by upgrading to disc brakes and all else? I love this car, but do not yet know what other work needs to be done at this time.

First of all welcome aboard!

Second of all to get to your question. It depends what kind of shows you are referring to. If you'r talking about just your general Vette shows, show n shines, etc, then non-matching #s won't really matter. If you're talking about Top Flight judging then there would be a mandatory deduction in points.

That is good to know, the car, from what I understand is pretty in tact, my uncle has had some of the work done, body, chrome and some mechanical, but there will be a lot of interior work to be done and no doubt other things, I would love to hear from other early vette owners to get more insight into the car, I get to pick it up in the spring.
