After a 200 mile drive I've noticed that the ses light is lighting up on the dic now and again. Will it store a fault code even tho the light is off now

I'm pretty sure it will still store the code but not sure if it intermitant or multi-occurances. I think even if you would fixed what caused it you have to erase the code yourself. Others like c4c5 may chime in on this he is definitly an expert.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Just to report that my fault code is coming up as a egr problem. Will removing it and cleaning the valve help also the egr selonoid, do they fail often. The light is very intermittent and only comes up no and again
