Just Kidding: The metal parts for the 63 are sandblasted, primed in DP-90 and any parts with rust pits have been re-primed with PPG K-36 high build primer.

Ray I think they all go in the trunk. Oh but you don't really have a trunk. ;LOL

I'm still amazed at the pace this thing is progressing at. Thanks for posting and keep the pics coming. How does that k-36 spay out does it have a heavy texture?

Hi! Stuidog

Yes the K-36 is a very high solid base product. I thinned it a little with the correct reducer. How is your 61 coming, I hope everything is going OK, I am looking forward to seeing it at Carlisle.

Ray, I'm working feverishly on the interior. I have lots of parts supossedly arriving tomorrow. I am taking this week off partly so I can work on the Vette and partly because I have a family get together/reunion starting toward the end of this week. Ordered some parts from Wally Knoch. He was very helpful, responsive and offered me a 20% discount on their quality parts.

This is what I like to see,

Ray, great to see you are going into such detail to make things right. I'm sure I don't have to remind you that all the joints, and bushings in the photo are now toast. Grit gets in the damm'dest places. Keep it up, and git'er done.

Hi! Stepinwolf,

That is the reason that I left all the old bushing and joints in, keep the sand blast aggregate out of where I did not want it. I sandblasted a few large parts out be hind the barn and even had aggregate in my shorts, not a good feeling. My next step will be to replace all the bushings and joints and then finish the correct color and sheen.

Funny you mention the " in your shorts bit ", because worst ( you'll have to guess where ) :eek happened to me when I went through the same process.

Guess we would need some type of suit from NASA, too guarantee that no aggregate would enter our various lower body openings.

You certainly have been busy! It's great that you can take the time to do all this so thoroughly and get a good inspection of each component this way. Helps when you have the proper equipment too of course:) . Great job! Thanks for posting the pics too, we all enjoy seeing them and following your progress Ray.
