I'm still working on the wiring on my 67. When I got to the head lights when I tried to pull the connector off the limiting switches they just broke off the tab.

As I can't see down in there, I can only guess what they do based on their name. How do they function and can I use the lights without them in the circuit without burning anything up until I get new ones?

Thanks.................Griz

Those switches don't have anything to do with the headlight motor circuit - they just turn on the "LIGHTS" warning light in the cluster if you turn on the headlights and both buckets aren't fully open. Replace them at your leisure. :)

That's good, I'll just tape them off until I can get some new ones.

Thanks.................................

Actually are a 'Cherry' brand microswitch. You used to be able to get them at RadioShack or similar electronics dealer. Can be wired for normally open or nornally closed. Just break off the wire tab you don't need.

Edit:
Cherry, Waukegan Ill. #E13-00J.........found two in my misc. electrical stuff drawer.
