The buttons for heater/air only work when THEY want to. No problem getting heat or air when they work they act like they are not making a connection. How do I access connection to clean contacts? Anybody replaced the outside weatherstripping on side windows. Driverside looks like somebody has been chewing on it!!

Rebob,

I replaced the weather strip on my drivers door. Not a problem. You can do it in about a hour. But remember to remove the lock button, the little button that you push to lock and unlock the doors. You need to grasp the end and pull towards you, this will remove it from the metal actuator rod. If you forget about it you will never get the door panel off..

The next item is fastening it. GM products are still available but they do not come with the rivets, which are just standard 3/16 pop rivets. Do not buy them from the dealer they'll cost you about 2 dollars each. Go to the hardware store if you don't have any. You will get a bunch more for the money.
There is very little room to get the rivet gun in the spots where the rivet is placed. You will need to have a rivet gun with an extened nose. You should also have a few door panel push pins as a few may break. They can be purchased from NAPA or any good automotive supply store.

If you can pay the price get the factory ones from GM. They cost more but you will have no issues installing them.
