I need some help trying to determine what transmission I have in my car. The front case has a casting #3719240 dated C127 and the main cast is #3708134 K286.

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Where on a powerglide are the casting numbers. I understand 65-67 Vettes all used the same unit. My tank sticker says my 4 speed 67 came with an automatic so I bought a powerglide on a skid with all the related parts in '96. How can I tell the casting date of the auto and is it true that the P/G should be dated 2-6 months before the car's build date. I have Nolan Adams' text on 63-67s but its not quite specific enough, any help?

Sorry I can't help you, after '61 the Powerglides were aluminum a totally different case and unit. I did receive an answer to my question from the NCRS forum, you might want totry there.
