Help identifying C2 Differential?

I was wondering if someone could help in identifying the differential I took off my '65:



It has a 2-letter code AW (in that order, but the W looks like an upside-down M)

It is a Posi, with ring gear marked GM 10:37 (A 3:70, I presume)

other letters and marks on the housing in various places are:

W228 (here the W again looks like an upside down M)

It's the correct carrier casting, and the cast date (D 2 5) is April 2, 1965; W228 is Warren Axle Plant, August 16, 1965. However, "AW" wasn't used as a Corvette axle code until 1968. What is the exact sequence of letters and numbers stamped on the bottom machined surface of the carrier between the strut rod bracket and the spring mount surface?

JohnZ might be able to verify but I think AW was a heavy duty designation.

The exact sequence on the pad is: AW W228 E1
Again, the W is squared off, and really looks like and upside down M.

The exact numbers on the ring gear are: 3737957 10:37 GM 10 66 2

As I posted over on CF, it's a rebuilt unit with a '71 or later carrier (actually 1975, built on the first shift on August 16th, that was originally built at Warren with a 3.08 Posi diff in it) and now has an October, 1966 set of GM 3.70 gears in it.
