I was thinking whoever outbid me by $5 e-mailed him and offered him an amount that was hard to refuse - so he accepted and closed the bid. I suppose there are others out there who need a black door. You may be very well right that I could be better off not having won the bid. Ah well. I've learned not to get my hopes up regarding auctions - so at least I came away from it with something.

Hi, Silver. Hmmm...no, I didn't know they existed. The Chev dealership said he did a country-wide search for a door (to avoid buying a "new" door) and there was nothing. I wonder if that's what he was talking about. :confused
