Ruby C5, As a northern transplant, I agree with all the posts regarding the care and feeding of your Corvette. First, I know that you will love living in Fl. In adddition to the benefit of driving the Corvette year-round, you will find that there is something to do that is related to Vettes or cars in general just about every week. My advice is to contact a local Corvette club that is near to the Hollywood area and inquire about storage. I know of some in my club that store their cars in storage areas because they don't have a garage in their complex. I second the motion to get a good all-weather cover for when the car is left outside for extended periods. Ecklers' (the Corvette supply store) is not too far north of you in Titusville, so it would be easy for you to visit, plus give you an excuse to drive the Vette. One other piece of advice - be careful where you park. There are numerous incidents of people carelessly opening doors without regards to who happens to be parked next to them. I don't think that this is intentional here any more than up north; it is just the large number of cars in the area, especially during the winter months. Also, the so-called "love bugs" only last a short time in the spring and fall, but a good coat of wax and timely removal will be adequate protection. The drivers here are no more aggresive here than New Jersey, in my opinion. Since I have lived in both states I think I can speak from experience. There are numerous incidents or road rage, especially around the Orlando area; due in large part to theme park tourists not knowing where they are going, and the locals getting impatient with them. Again, I don't believe it is any worse than other heavily populated areas. I hope you enjoy your move, and again, welcome to the Sunshine State! Ron
