Guys,
I'm trying to replace the tail-light socket assembly on my 67.
Really, it's the male part that fits into the back of the assembly that I need.
There are two spring loaded contacts that line up with the 1157 bulb. One of the contacts doesn't work well. (spring does not work)

I ordered the part from my chevy dealer and when it came in , guess what...wrong part! Not even close.
I called Vintage Parts and they need a part #.

Does anyone know the part number for this is or where I can order the part?

Thanks,

Pedro

Pedro.

Have you tried Long Island Corvettes??

http://licorvette.com/

I have had great success with them for my '66 when I was looking for correct parts. There also are lots of other outlets out there.....

Good luck.

( last publishing of this book I got it from ebay)

It is necessary to carefully check the parts catlog for correct application when replacing lamp assembelies,if incorrect sockets are used for replacements ,the bulb filaments will be in the wrong location with respect to the lens and or reflextor. As a result the lamp may fail to meet the required lighting standards

67-68 prt# 5698520 $16.55 dir.sig.and traffic hazard (boyne)

If your unsure stop in on the ncrs tec web site ther is a fellow there named joe lucia and he knows part numbers inside and out on corvettes

I hope this helps
I also purchased an asembely manual for my car and refer to it often for part numbers or pictures on how something goes back together

And why are you getting parts from a local chevy dealer?
Ther is a company called gmpartsdirect.com and they are much cheaper and also they would tell you the part number you need thru there email customer support.

USE CATION WITH THEM sometimes there shipping charges are real high .

Guys,
thanks for the help!

I called Long Island corvettes and they have the part!

I appreciate the help.

Here's to you guys..

Long Island Corvette Supply is a great source for midyear parts. I believe that's ALL they sell. They know their "stuff" too. Chuck
