Help - Need to disconnect fuel line

I need to disconnect the short braided fuel line that goes through the driver side fule rail cover. I take the clip off, but can't figure out how it comes apart. It moves a little back an forth, but I don't want to try and force it off. Thanks.

there is a tool to use to disconnect fuel lines on vehicles - avail. in the help / tool isle at auto parts stores

I have used a set of these on Corvettes:

BUT...you don't need to disc. the lines to pull the covers off - just be careful as you remove them - I have used painters tape in the area, so the covers did not get marred by the steel lines

Thanks for the info. I'll try getting it done without removing the fuel line.
