HELP needed with interior

Second call for some assistance. I am trying to get my head rest off my '69 seats and can't figure out how they come off. Any idea......

Not sure if the 68 is like the 69. Here's the page from the assembly manual, hope this helps.
 
Thanks for the picture, it looks like it should just pull out like any other headrest but when I pull on it, it seems to catch on something. like a release of some sort. Don't see one in the picture.

Anyone else know of some sort of release mechanism
 
Do you have to push in the middle of the seatback?? Just guessing, maybe some type of spring you have to push to get it to release.....
 
Having the same problem. I just got mine out 1 minute ago. There is a tang on the outside of the flat piece of metal the headrest is on, on the passenger seat. You need to push the headrest to the outside as you pull it up so that the tang will not catch in the assembly. Hope this helps. If not let me know, maybe I can give better instructions. Ron B
